TED - Malte Spitz (what mass surveillance means to all of us)

Malte Spitz explains what he received from his cellular carrier after he filed a lawsuit to receive a copy of his "meta-data".

What they sent him was LOW RESOLUTION meta-data and it's the same in every country and with every cell phone service provider.

While listening to Mr. Spitz's talk, please click the play button below and see the most basic level of information gathered and stored by your cellular service provider, including your location even when you're not on the phone, a list of calls made and received, along with any text messages and emails sent and received.

(Keep in mind this is LOW RESOLUTION "meta-data")
